TerraQuest delivered land referencing services to Torbay Council to support the compulsory acquisition of the Crossways Shopping Centre in Paignton, which was necessary to facilitate regeneration.

TerraQuest has provided land referencing services since 1972 and the national Planning Portal in a joint venture with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) since 2015.

Hoarding installation

From Monday, 28 November, fencing contractors will start installing of hoarding (160 metres) around the site, ready for work to begin safely removing asbestos from the building. The hoarding installation will mean that between Hyde Road and Torquay Road there will be no pedestrian access.

To install the hoarding, it will take around two weeks. After this it will be wrapped with information about not only the plans for the site, but also broader regeneration works and initiatives.

Planning permission has been granted for the site to provide 90 extra care, sheltered housing, and commercial space. When the homes are complete, TorVista Homes Limited will own the homes and they will be available as affordable housing for residents. The development provide much-needed housing for local people and rejuvenate the area's economic viability (helping to attract businesses).
