The project required a Development Consent Order (DCO), a complex and rigorous process that necessitated precise documentation and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

TerraQuest was engaged to lead the land referencing efforts as part of the broader consultancy team. Our role was critical in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of the essential documents needed for the DCO submission, particularly the Book of Reference, Land Plans, and Access and Right of Way Plans.

Due to TerraQuest’s leadership in land referencing, the Boston Alternative Energy Facility successfully submitted its DCO application in March 2021. The project received formal approval from the Secretary of State in July 2023.
